I had been using FTM 2012 and decided to get a new version (I did not get the upgrade, I got the full version).
When I first did all the log-ins for FamSearch and Ancestry, the hint functions and merging the hint data from the external sources worked fine.
Now (after only about three days of use), every time I click the leaf to look at the hints from Ancestry, it will not let me use the merge feature at the bottom and keeps displaying a page that says I need to log into or join Ancestry.com. When I sign in via the pop-up window, the hints disappear and it displays a primary blank boxed search page. If I go back to the list of Ancestry hints, it again shows the "not logged in" image at the bottom.
The top left icons show that I am, indeed, logged in to Ancestry and FamSearch.Org.
Any ideas?SiouxSayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17378734176079910388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7431320127509797635.post-31638567661271306932021-08-08T11:15:36.097-04:002021-08-08T11:15:36.097-04:00I wrote earlier and wanted to tell you not to worr...I wrote earlier and wanted to tell you not to worry. I have compacted (twice to get to 0%), backed up my tree and synced (so I know I am connected to Ancestry and Ancestry to FTM. When I discovered this new problem, I had added only 10 new names and info since the last double compact to 0%, back-up and sync but I did it again anyway. Still seeing a blank field but before the blank field comes on, a box indicates there IS a hint and maybe some tree matches. But I cannot get to them. According to Ancestry, I have a total of 224,369 hints available though only 1 with this particular name. I just changed to another name and again found a blank field BUT I can find that hint information when I go to Ancestry on another screen. I hate to think I will always have to do that.
DavidDavidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08636609930081840575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7431320127509797635.post-34002508544613989112021-03-28T21:15:09.930-04:002021-03-28T21:15:09.930-04:00Terri,
